Paintless dent repair (PDR) is the insurance preferred method of repairing hail damage because it does not require repainting, sanding or replacing panels. The practice of PDR uses specially shaped tools to access dents through the underside of car panels and hoods. Technicians slowly massage the underside of the dent and displace the tension to return the panel to the original condition.
